Creating a Citation: Copy & Paste Method

  1. Find the source citation on the article.  Highlight this with your mouse and click copy.
  2. In NoodleTools, click the aarow in the box that says Cite a... Select the type of source you have.
  3. Click the link next to Quick Cite that says Copy and Paste a Citation.
  4. Paste the citation in the box and click Submit.
  5. When you are ready to add your next source, repeat these steps with the new citation.

Your Goals:

DAY 1

Research Your Author

Use library resources to find information about your author.

Find a brief article on biographical information, events that have influenced their life, and their writing style.

Look to see what literary time period they wrote in and what or who influenced their writing. 

Print Your Sources

Find and print 1 article on your author. 

Read & Highlight Your Sources

Take the time to read and highlight your articles. Write notes in the margins.

 


DAY 2

Research Critiques on Your Author

Look up critiques about your author's work, not summaries of their short story.

Become an expert from a critical perspective!


Print Your Sources

Find and print 3-4 critiques on your author's short story. 

Read & Highlight Your Sources

Take the time to read and highlight your articles. Write notes in the margins.

Your THESIS will be derived from these articles, so give your best effort!
